Tribal Latin Fusion Yoga

Both yoga and dance lead us back into our bodies. Combine them, as the Om diva does in her most popular workshop,
and the result is high-energy, inner-fire movement meditation yoga.

Tribal-Latin Fusion Yoga is a meeting of two great disciplines, yoga and dance, which come from and are united at the source.

That infinite creative source is the One, uniting us all. Yoga and dance are two of the oldest paths back into our inner spirit.
Dance and yoga, are ways of calling us back meditatively and spiritually into our bodies to fill our being with life energy known in yoga as "prana."

Prana is the animating force, the energy of being alive and is most clearly felt through breathing. From the yogic view, the great breath flowing
through us all is intelligence or Consciousness itself.  With Vinyasa flow yoga, we let the intelligence of our breath lead movement the way a sailor
tacks with the wind. Trance dance has a similar focus. Rather than emphasizing an outward performance, the goal of tribal-Latin Fusion Yoga
is to let your creative energy move through you to be guided by spirit (or "spiritus," which is the Latin root for inspiration, the place where the breath of life
and enlivening creativity meet). Thus, in Tribal-Latin fusion Yoga, form serves spirit, structure supports intuition,
yoga prepares you for free-form dance, and your physical dance opens your being for a greater
experience of the unified self that is yoga.

This whole meeting of yoga and dance has deep roots within yoga as well as across deep cultural branches. Within yoga, all of the different energies of
the One - the gods and goddesses are depicted as dancing. The universe is viewed as the Cosmic Dance of Shiva - Nataraja.
Tribal-Latin fusion Yoga is sometimes sublime, at other times wild, and always free. The Yogini/Yogi follows the pulse of the inhalation and
exhalation, the voices of the spirit within, the dancer, and the beat.

Testimonial

Thank you so much for the class. I was nearly in tears by the time I left. My body responded in an amazing way. Right now I have hip and knee problems and Yoga did heal them... I have a new energy within me. You are absolutely amazing. I leave for my vaction on Sunday and will be away for 2 weeks!! I will take with me this experience and I will connect with my body and soul as I take some time to relax and meditate and examine where my life is leading to, Namaste :) -Kristalina A., CA
